Love this post! I turned my partner on to How It's Made (after her epic eyeroll: "A show about making aluminum? REALLY?"). By the end of the show she was singing a different tune: "Wow, that was fantastic!"

And the kids are following in our geeky footsteps. My daughter, too, had an old keyboard in her toy box. She and my son turned into game fiends thanks to my iPhone and later the small laptop we got my daughter for Christmas. Now my daughter is exploring all the things her computer can do besides games, and I am SO PROUD.

Who in the world would question your nerdness? LOL.

I feel so much better after reading this. The thing I listen to the most is podcasts, much more than music. I've always felt guilty about this, partly because of my job as a music teacher, but now I'm just going to say it is because of MY nerdness.
